Instructions

  1. Place brussels sprouts in microwave-safe dish. Add about 1-inch of water.
  2. Cover dish with plastic wrap and poke holes in the plastic with a fork to vent.
  3. Microwave for 2 minutes. Allow to cool.
  4. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat
  5. When brussels sprouts have cooled enough to handle, cut into quarters and discard the loose outer leaves
  6. Add olive oil to pan. Once oil is hot, add sliced onions and brussels sprouts.
  7. When onions have softened, about 3 minutes, add ground sausage and all spices to pan.
  8. Stir fry over medium heat until meat is cooked through, 6-8 minutes.
  9. When meat is done, add cabbage and dried cherries. Cook for 2-3 minutes until cabbage has softened.
  10. Serve it up!
