Over the holidays we were fortunate to get some good news from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating (IPE). They awarded us a badge for being one of their top 50 paleo blogs.
You can check out the post here and see who else made the list. We are honored and we want to thank the IPE for the award.
We also thought it would be a good idea to do a little write-up on the IPE to share what they're all about. This is not an endorsement but simply us sharing an information resource with you.
What is the IPE?
The IPE focuses on the unique field of Mind Body Nutrition and Dynamic Eating Psychology. They offer a unique certification program that teaches students how to effectively work with the most common eating challenges that people face.
According to their website the IPE teaches their students how to work with:
-Weight Issues
-Body Image
-Overeating
-Compulsive Eating
-Chronic Dieting
-Digestive Challenges
-Mood Concerns
-Energy and Fatigue
-Unwanted Eating Habits
-Nutrition-Linked Health Complaints
-Nutritional Confusion
The IPE does not endorse any particular diet or nutrition plan. They focus on helping people find what works best for them.
Of course, we love paleo but the IPE is not a paleo website. The IPE focuses on helping their audience gain a healthier mind/body/spirit/food connection.
We can appreciate their holistic approach to helping people understand the emotional and mental side of eating and nutrition. It is an important topic that deserves more focus and research.
We spent some time on their blog and here are two articles that we really enjoyed and we thought that maybe our readers would enjoy them as well.
Five Unexpected Tips for High Energy Nutrition
Losing Weight: 4 Things that Work and 4 Things that Don't (If you just read one, read this one.)
It's our goal to continue to help our readers and members reach their health, fitness and appearance goals through excellent information, motivation, a paleo nutrition plan and healthy lifestyle changes.
P.S. We like it when people Tweet @ Us.
